Working Life in London Part II

1992 November

Created by Peter 7 years ago
Carol follows Peter back to London after sorting out the IFR affairs in KL.  They decide to move house in the middle of a house price slump and to wait until the market stabilises at mid 80's prices.  They move into Elyne Road.

Carol settles in at IFR head office in a large bureau environment.  She develops a niche as editor and team leader in Equity Capital Markets making full use of her banking experience.

Things limp on at Peters office and in an atmosphere of redundancies and falling oil prices he is sent off to Buenos Aires.  He comes back shortly as Sun Oil decide to close its exploration business.  After some to-ing and fro-ing Peter decides he will  do what he does best i.e. drill for water and signs on for a hydrogeology course at Reading University funded by some freelance work.

With things looking up they decide to start a family.
